About BJ

I'm BJ, a professional entertainer based in Colon, Michigan — yeah, the Magic Capital of the World.

Growing up here wasn't exactly normal. Four days a year, our little town filled with world-class magicians. The rest of the time, a handful stuck around. I was that weird kid who couldn't get enough of it. I learned from anyone who'd teach me, and by my teens, I was performing professionally. That was over thirty years ago.

These days, I've got six kids, a head full of rhymes, and I'm still doing what I love.

A smiling man with glasses, a goatee, and a shaved head, wearing a black shirt and a beaded necklace with a pendant, standing in front of a blurred, warm-toned background.

What I Do

I perform for whoever needs someone who can actually connect with a room. Family shows, corporate events, conferences, school assemblies, libraries, fundraisers — if you need someone on stage who won't waste people's time, I'm your guy.

My style blends magic, comedy, and spoken word. I adapt to the audience in front of me. A room full of executives gets something different than a gymnasium full of third-graders, and both get something different than a mixed crowd at a community event. But they all get the same level of care and professionalism.

I don't do cringe. I don't do filler. And I take your event seriously, even when I'm making people laugh.

Why It Matters

Every audience gives me their time and attention. That's not nothing. My job is to honor that — to make sure everyone leaves feeling better than when they walked in.

I've spent three decades learning how to read a room and give people what they need in that moment. Sometimes that's high-energy chaos. Sometimes it's sharp wit. Sometimes it's something quieter that hits harder. The point is, I meet people where they are.

And for event organizers? You get someone who shows up prepared, professional, and committed to making you look good.
